Acousto-optic deflector (AOD) can achieve laser beam scanning by adjusting the radio frequency (RF) driving frequency, enabling random position scanning, continuous line scanning, and sequential point deflection. By optimizing the crystal, wavelength, and beam size, AODs can achieve scanning rates exceeding 200 MHz and precise position control at the nano-radian leve.
