Optran® UV and Optran® UVNS are designed for transmission in the ultraviolet and visible spectral range. While both fiber types exhibit identical initial attenuation characteristics, UVNS fibers are manufactured using an optimized preform technology that significantly improves resistance to solarization under prolonged UV exposure.
